On the Silver Couch: Dimitra and Sofia Vamiali

Vamialis
Artists and gallerists Dimitra and Sofia Vamiali

What can keep in Athens  an artist and a gallerist nowdays;
The prospect of forming a new way of creating and managing art. And so, our relocation in another country is postponed at the moment.

What was the most interesting thing you've heard lately?
The 3 rules of mountaineering: It is always farther than it seems, always higher than it seems and always harder than it looks.

On the Silver Couch: Panos Tsagaris

IMG_6088
Artist Panos Tsagaris

Tell me the story of your life in 140ch:
 Athens-Vancouver-New York-Meditation-Kundalini-Kabbalah-Masonry-Theosophy... Light-Darkness and everything in between.

How would you describe the era we live in?
A beautiful curse.

What makes you still living in New York?
The challenge of trying to remain balanced and sane while living in one of the most egocentric, materialistic cities in the world.

Military stuff usually give me the creeps.
In Greece today is remembrance of one of the most brutal moments in the history of  youth culture of the country. Check here what happened on 17th November 1973

Although I loved this military building in the perifery of Belgrade
IMG_5928
This is a Hospital serving still the vigilant army.
IMG_5926
Entrance is not permitted to foreigners
IMG_5968
This is one of the craziest buildings I saw with a great view of the Danube river. Built in the early 70's, initially was a restaurant called the Danube Flower.
IMG_5965
Unfortunately there are no info who initially designed this building.
IMG_5964
I did not go inside because it heard it has been recently rennovated and it's kind  of
disappointing.
IMG_5958
Splendid views of Danube

A bunker-like water tower by lake Ada.stone_gen
And next there is this nice stone sculptures.

A sculpture/fountain in front of the museum
  IMG_6011
This is the mausoleum a.k.a "House of Flowers" where Marshal Tito "rests"
  IMG_6012
A strange connection: Royals meet a Communist,
Marshal Tito visiting Athens' Royal Palace in the mid 50's

 IMG_6033
A beautiful black and white bosnian folk uniform that maybe Tito wore
IMG_6030
Patriotic romanticism, part of the museum contains gifts given to Marshal Tito
IMG_6024
Playful sculptures in the museum alley
 IMG_6025

IMG_5891
I also visited the Nikola Tesla museum one of world's greatest inventors
teslaashes
This is the closest you can get to him now: his ashes
IMG_5984
This is the entrance of the closed Museum of Contemporary Art

which is scheduled to open soon.
